In order to speed up the collection of funds into the National Treasury and promote multiple payment mechanisms for submission of payments to the National Treasury, the NTA initiated a measure to process non-tax remittances to the National Treasury. Central government agencies can, according to business needs, apply to the NTA for approval of the account for processing remittances to the National Treasury. This account consists of fourteen numbers; payers can use any financial institution capable of remitting funds to submit payments to the National Treasury.
