The Ministry of Finance has formally requested the chiefs of financial units of local governments to attend the “Local Government Financial Operation Coordination Meeting”every year since 2008 to assist local governments with their financial operations as well as reinforce communication and coordination and share experiences. Scholars and specialists are invited, and local governments rated No. 1 in performance evaluation in each major category of the “Local Government Financial Operation Counseling Project” present their special topic reports. Cases are analyzed and discussed. Successful experiences are shared to serve as a reference for local governments in development of financial resources and improvement of local financial performance.
