Donations to the National Treasury in Fiscal Year 2024

The National Treasury Administration of the Ministry of Finance (NTA) stated that in the fiscal year 2024, a total of 83 donations without specified purposes were made to the national treasury, amounting to NT$1,194,401. In accordance with Subparagraph 2, Paragraph 1, Article 6 of the Charity Donations Destined for Social Welfare Funds Implementation Regulations, the information regarding these donations has been disclosed on the administration's website under the "Latest News" section.

The NTA explained that when central government agencies receive voluntary donations from external parties, if the donations have specified purposes, they are handled by the relevant competent authorities responsible for those purposes. If the donations do not have specified purposes, they are accepted by the NTA and fully allocated to the national treasury for overall use in advancing national policies.

The NTA further stated that if donors provide their national identification numbers when donating to the national treasury, the administration will upload the total donation amount from the previous year to the "Deduction Data Exchange System" by the end of February each year. This helps donors easily query or automatically import their donation deduction data during the filing of individual income tax, thereby simplifying the overall tax filing process.

The NTA once again expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all donors.
