The specification for labeling batch number of alcohol products.

Subject:The additional instructions for Tai-Tsai-Ku-Tzu No. 09403066680 about labeling on alcohol products.

Legal Basis: Subparagraph 9, Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 5 of Article 33 of the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act.

 

Matters of Announcement:

  1. The year can be regarded as the batch number of the imported grape wine, if the grape wine is only produced once per year and the grapes used to produce the grape wine are harvested once per year.
  2. For the imported alcohol products without batch numbers, the importers can number those alcohol products as the batch number before sale. For traceability and recycling, the number should be traceable the import declaration or the application for inspection of imported alcohol for each batch of alcohol products.
  3. Since January 20, 2007, importing or producing alcohol products for sale without batch numbers should be punished according to Article 54 of the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act.
