Amendment of "Specific amounts of illegal tobacco/alcohol products transported by an R.O.C. fishing vessel in accordance with Subparagraph 5 of Paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act" (amendment becomes effective from March 22, 2023)

Basis:

According to Paragraph 2 of Article 6 of the Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act.

Matters of Announcement:

The specific amounts of illegal tobacco or alcohol products transported by an R.O.C. fishing vessel in accordance with Subparagraph 5 of Paragraph 1 of Article 6 of The Tobacco and Alcohol Administration Act are as follows:

According to the number of crew members, each person is allowed the following:

1. Tobacco: 5 cartons (1,000 pieces) of cigarettes, 125 cigars, 5 pounds of cut tobacco, and 5 cartons (1,000 pieces) or 5 pounds of other tobacco products.

2. Alcoholic beverage: 5 liters.

For a fishing vessel conducting both squid jigging and saury stick-held net fishery approved by the Fisheries Agency, Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, limited to crew’s use only, and not intended to be taken ashore, each fishing vessel is allowed the following:

1. Tobacco: 9000 packs (180,000 pieces) of cigarettes.

2. Alcoholic beverage: 1,000 liters.
