Promoting e-payment of 18 items of taxes and fees, saving treasury expenditure.

In order to simplify the collection and write-off procedures of various central government agencies (hereinafter “agencies”) and charging agencies (institutions), the e-payment mechanism services allow for 18 items of taxes and fees, including the withholding of salary of agency employees, public utility fees, and payments to the treasury, granting greater convenience and reducing cost through online payment rather than sending personnel to financial institutions to pay over the counter, and collection fees paid by charging agencies (institutions). This mechanism, which is a realization of e-governance policy and provides high-quality National Treasury payment services, processes over 200,000 entries annually and reduced NT$7 million in costs related to the printing of Treasury checks, postage required, and inter-bank remittance fees. A total of 40,804 entries have been made through the mechanism for 2025 as of the end of March.
