Archives Application Procedures

1. Searching Archives Catalog: To apply for access to archives, the applicant shall first search the archives catalog via the Navigating Electronic Agencies' Records website.

2. Submitting Application: The applicant shall fill out the Archives Application Form or explain the reason for application in writing and submit it to National Treasury Administration (hereinafter called "the NTA") in person, via post mail, or as an electronic image file sent by email: c2@mail.nta.gov.tw or by fax (02-2396-4822 To Documentation and Archives Management Section, Secretariat).

3. Receiving Review Notice: After the application is received by the NTA, the applicant will be notified of the review outcome in 30 days.  In case an applicant has applied for too excessive amount of archives access and the NTA is not able to provide the decision of approval or denial of the application within 30 days, the NTA may review this application and reply to the applicant on a batch-wise basis. If further documents are requested based on the reviewing needs, then a new reviewing period will start from the earliest date the documents requested are submitted by the applicant.
 
4. Paying Fees: The applicant shall pay the NTA via cash order or post money order and delivered to the NTA or by e-Bill transfer through internet fees in accordance with the “Fee Standards for Viewing, Hand-copying or Duplication of Archives” promulgated by the National Archives Administration, National Development Council.
 
5. Having Access to Archives: The applicant, who will have the access in person, shall bring the approval letter, the Archives Access Reviewing Table, and a valid ID to the appointed premises to access the archives applied for.
